Ruger’s rescue journey was delayed due to the current state of affairs (aka COVID) as his awesome foster mom works in a Washington hospital, but that doesn’t mean his adoption is any less sweet – IT’S SWEETER <3 CONGRATULATIONS to Ruger and his new FUR-EVER family <3
Ruger II (our second Ruger of the rescue) is a 1-year-old boy who comes to rescue because his family was unable to care for him any longer. HE LOVES tummy rubs and snuggles <3 He has shown the ability to get along with other medium-to-large dogs. He has met a cat and was a bit confused by what it was; he likely has not spent any time with a feline previously.
Ruger is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. He is an absolute goofy male with a BIG heart and a huge SMILE. He is housebroken and crates well. He will need help with basic commands and walking on a leash, like most young shepherds do! Ruger is currently in foster care in the greater Portland/Vancouver area and is learning new things daily, but is SO READY for his furever home!
