ADOPTED *Chloe*

Miss Chloe has chosen her fur-ever family <3 Chloe’s journey took a few detours, but she certainly is on the right highway now!!! From on a euthanasia list (literally minutes away from being euthanized for space) at a high intake shelter, adopted/returned, to a rescue sponsored training and then to being LOVED AND HOME!!!! <3

Chloe attended a 2-week board and train at Huffman K9 training in Canby where she gained confidence, people socializing and learned boundaries <3

Chloe is a sweet “micropop” of a girl who is a bit shy – she is on the smaller side at about 55-60 pounds. She appears to be about 7-12 months old. She prefers love over anything and will gladly try to climb in your lap for comfort. She has exhibited the ability to get along with other larger dogs and appears a bit afraid of felines. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is heartworm negative and has begun her vaccines. Chloe has been microchipped and appears to know how to walk on a leash to some degree, but will need help with basics. She rides well in a car and melts into your hand any chance she gets. Chloe is looking for a soft, quiet home with some training and some confidence building <3 SHE IS STUNNING!

Chloe gets her first look at the PNW <3

Chloe entered into the shelter on 01/17/2020 at 12:11 a.m. No one came for her. On 01/30/2020 she was scheduled to be euthanized at a high-intake shelter, not because she was a bad dog, was aggressive or unadoptable; she has no bite history, she is not sick and she loves people; but, there are TOO MANY dogs that are overflowing the shelter… FULL is a death sentence for some – for way too many. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING A RESCUED GSD <3

Thanks to a village of people this girl was snatched from the list at the last minute – literally. Cara of Underdog Railroad brought her to our attention, the shelter staff rushed to tag her for rescue, a shelter get-a-way/freedom ride was arranged and a foster was secured and within about 15 minutes – her stars were changed. Chloe doesn’t know how close her life was to ending, but she sure is thankful she has a lap to try and crawl into thanks to her foster mum <3

Chloe is about a year old. She is a typical “velcro” girl. She may have spent some time on her own and needs to gain a few pounds. She MELTS into love with that sweet girl smile: https://youtu.be/bToT6n9dD1Y

We are just getting to know Chloe, but she appears to be afraid of cats and has exhibited the ability to get along with other larger dogs. She is housebroken, but a crate is a whole new experience for her. She is heartworm negative and has begun her vaccines. Chloe has been microchipped and appears to know how to walk on a leash. More details as we have them <3
