Sometimes, we are just in the right place at the right time…
In Kong’s case, he was in the right place at the right time to be found at all!!! Kong and his probable sister were wandering the wilderness at just 7 months old. Thankfully, a very kind loving family found them, sheltered, loved and fostered them until rescue was found for both – Thank you Kandi and Laura!!!
With a foster commitment, he traveled overnight and arrived last weekend. It only took a few hours to see that he had put on his charm and weaved a love connection with the entire family – canines included! The right place at the right time…. CONGRATULATIONS to Kong and his family!!! <3
Kong is a sweet and stunning 7 month old (estimated) male GSD found in the wilderness of the foothills of Northern California. An area known to be a common animal “dumping area”, with no identifying information and no microchip, it’s clear things may have not gone well for him. Thankfully, with the help of many people, he found his way to rescue! Now, he is up to date on vaccines, HW negative, healthy and neutered and ready to find his forever family 🐾
Kong walks well on a leash, but would benefit from some additional training, as most young shepherds do. He is working on crate training and learning house manners. Kong has exhibited the ability to live with children over the age of 5 (he is learning not to jump/knock younger children over). He loves to go on walks and play. Kong has exhibited the ability to live with other dogs of all sizes. He has been introduced to a cat and did not seem overly interested.
