Logan has a secret ….
Sometimes dogs let us know that they are “home” before we even know it. We announced that Logan was adopted 2 weeks ago and although they are an amazing family & loved Logan from the first time they saw his picture, he did not fit in as well as we had all hoped. This was to no fault of his own or the family. The truth is that Logan had already chosen his forever family many months ago. He had given his heart & soul away to the foster family that took him in, nurtured him through his GI issues, showed him love, likely for the first time, and gave him a safe place to blossom into the boy he is today. We are excited to announce that Logan has been officially adopted by his foster family. Little did we know, he had already been “home” for all these months

Available for adoption – whats that? Logan, it means you are ready for a furever family. I AM??? YES, LOGAN YOU ARE!!!!! Logan has been with SWB for a few months now. He was experiencing some real GI distress and after much testing and several trials of diet… turns out Logan just is a sensitive boy with a heart of gold. He is finally ready for his forever family.

**UPDATE ** As many of you know, Logan had a GI ailment and he went through a lot of testing – all of which came back showing negative. We would love to say that we KNOW what was causing his GI ailment exactly, instead we can only say he is a sensitive sort of fellow (likely caused by allergies) and he is doing MARVELOUS on a prescription diet and is FINALLY ready for his forever family!!!!! Logan will likely require his prescription kibble throughout his lifetime to keep his GI system happy and working correctly! He is a large “derpy” guy who loves to play and be goofy.

Logan is a 3-4 year old male GSD who is a tall drink of water! He weighs about 90 pounds and has a moderate activity/drive. Logan has exhibited the ability to get along with dogs, but needs very slow introduction. We do not recommend cats due to his higher ball drive. Logan would do well with children over the age of 5 and would benefit from an general obedience class as most GSDs do! Logan is up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and neutered. He is housebroken and kennel trained.

At Shepherds Without Borders Rescue, we are passionate about our dogs – passionate about their health and well-being. We feel that the honorable thing is to strive to have our rescues medically stable before adoption. Unfortunately, Logan has been suffering from GI ailment that we are still investigating and doing testing for. While we invite you to apply to adopt Logan, until we have some answers, Logan will stay with his foster family. Please continue to send well wishes for Logan as we continue to try to find answers to his GI upset – WE LOVE YOU LOGAN <3 Get better you big ole buddy!!
*If you would like to contribute to Logan’s mounting medical expenses ($1700.00 and rising) as we continue to do testing, we invite you to give a tax-deductible donation of any amount – Thank YOU! Donate
